24th January 2006

The Wyndeham Press Group is pleased to announce that, following the recent print tender, it has been awarded a contract by Emap worth £20 million over 3 years. The contract significantly expands Wyndeham’s relationship with Emap in a group deal that spans multiple Wyndeham print sites.

There are a total of 28 Emap magazines in the contract which include monthly titles such as: Today’s Golfer, Golf World, Health Plus, Your Horse, Practical Photography, Landrover Owner International and Classic Cars. A number of the titles will be printed by Wyndeham Heron utilising the new 64 page web offset press, recently installed as part of the Group’s capital investment programme. As well as the new titles, Wyndeham retains ten magazines previously produced at Wyndeham Heron and Wyndeham Grange for Emap including: Construction News, Retail Week, Improve Your Course Fishing, Therapy Weekly and Media Marketing Europe. Wyndeham Impact and Wyndeham Hubbard, the Group’s specialist cover printers, will also benefit with the award of a number of new Emap covers.

“We have been impressed with the investment Wyndeham has made in its printing businesses and we like the overall strategic direction that the Group is taking,” said Andy Franks, Group Production Director, Emap plc. “Throughout the tender process Wyndeham were proactive and professional and delivered to Emap’s expectations.”

“Our strategy is to focus on the medium run, multi-pagination titles and we are very pleased with the outcome of the tender,” said Paul Utting, Chief Executive. “We have won a great mix of Emap work that fits perfectly with the diverse range of manufacturing plant around the group companies.”
