Wyndeham Awards 5 Year Plate Contract to Agfa

Wyndeham Press Group is re-equipping several of its printing facilities with prepress equipment from Agfa Graphics. In addition to signing a five year plate contract, Wyndeham is also investing in seven of the latest :Avalon platesetters supported by Agfa’s :Apogee workflow and project management solutions.

Paul Utting, Chief Executive of Wyndeham Press Group, explains: “After an extensive review of various options, we are delighted to be continuing our long standing working relationship with Agfa. Overall, the package of :Avalon platesetters, :Apogee workflow, and most importantly, the quality of plates together withcontinuous technical support, won Agfa the business.”

Installation will begin in July and continues throughout the summer months. Two :Avalons are scheduled to go into each of the following sites; sheet-fed printer Wyndeham Grange, and the web offset sites Wyndeham Heron and Wyndeham Impact. All three sites will use the new :Energy Elite no-bake plate. The seventh :Avalon will be installed at sheet-fed printer Wyndeham Gait and will image Agfa’s market leading chemistry-free :Azura plate.
