Wyndeham Announces Acquisition of Connect Digital Imaging

The Wyndeham Press Group today announces the acquisition of Connect Digital Imaging, a packaging origination company based in Bury, Greater Manchester. Connect is a fast growing flexographic reproduction specialist with a turnover exceeding £3 million providing services to many of Europe’s leading packaging printers.

“This is an excellent strategic acquisition for the packaging division” said Mick Tooley, Managing Director, Wyndeham Kestrel. “Connect has focused on providing specialist flexographic services directly to leading European packaging printers. Wyndeham Kestrel provides specialist project management and brand management services directly to front-end clients such as Britvic, Tesco and Unilever. The combination of services and expertise together with the reputation for service and quality of the businesses provides a powerful offering to existing and potential clients.”

Despite focusing on different market sectors there are strong synergies between the two companies. Both enjoy exemplary reputations for service and quality and operate across common manufacturing platforms.

“There is also a strong cultural fit between the two management teams” added Tooley. “This is crucial in enabling the two businesses to work together to realise their combined potential. I am therefore confident that this acquisition will significantly increase our ability to win new business.”

McCormack added that he and his fellow directors were looking forward to working closely with Wyndeham Kestrel in developing new opportunities for both businesses. Connect Digital Imaging will subsequently re-brand as Wyndeham Connect.

This latest acquisition is the third made by Wyndeham within the last two years in line with the Group’s strategy of acquisitive and organic growth. In a statement released today Paul Utting, Chief Executive, Wyndeham Press Group said “The packaging market represents an important element of Wyndeham’s growth strategy and this acquisition will enhance the range of solutions that we can offer to packaging clients. There are genuine synergies between Connect Digital Imaging and Wyndeham Kestrel and the companies will work closely together to provide a comprehensive packaging service to clients.”
