Wyndeham Group News > Marathon Runner for Wyndeham Gait
30th August 2008
Michael, 33, who works in the Estimating Department at Wyndeham Gait, will be running to raise money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. Great Ormond Street Hospital treats thousands of children who are suffering from the rarest, most complex and often life threatening conditions.
Michael experienced the expertise of their medical staff when his son Jacob underwent life threatening brain surgery. ‘‘To have your child’s life balance in the hands of another is a traumatising experience and there are no words to explain the overwhelming gratitude you feel when they are returned,’’ said Michael.
With public support the Hospital can benefit by redevelopment of its clinical buildings in order to treat an extra 20,000 children a year from 2010.
We would like to wish Michael the best of luck in the Great North Run which takes place on 5th October. If you wish to sponsor Michael or read more about the charity please visit www.justgiving.co.uk/michael1
