Contract Awards

5th July 2002

Wyndeham has recently been awarded two significant contracts with a total estimated value of £16.5m.

Wyndeham's integrated offering wins a £9m Astron Group Contract.

Wyndeham has recently been introducing a more integrated business model to take advantage of cross selling opportunities and to ensure that its subsidiaries work closely together.

This integrated approach has already reaped benefits with the successful award of a contract by Astron Group, one of the largest and most successful information logistics organisations in Europe, servicing private, public and business process outsourcing markets.

The contract will initially run for 3 years, with an estimated value of £3m per annum. Under the contract Wyndeham will be responsible for providing print services for the Astron Group. These services will be provided through an integrated offering which spans Wyndeham's subsidiaries.

Wyndeham Heron wins the £7.5m British Medical Journal ("BMJ") and News Review contracts.

Wyndeham Heron has been awarded a three year contract to print The British Medical Journal, the leading, 160 year old publication for the medical profession.

The estimated value of the contract is £2.5m per annum. The contract was won, following a competitive tender against 15 print companies because the BMJ and New Review team considered Wyndeham Heron to represent the best combination of facilities, capacity, scheduling and customer service. The British Medical Journal and News Review consists of up to seven published elements every week, with print runs ranging from 30,000 to 120,000 copies of between 16 and 160 pages per copy.

Bryan Bedson, Chief Executive of Wyndeham commented:

"We are pleased to see the early benefits of our move to further integrate our businesses, with the award of the Astron contract. The award of the British Medical Journal contract also provides further evidence that our strategy to invest in technology is proving successful."
